About StackSwitch

Independent software comparisons built for buyers, not vendors.

Our mission

StackSwitch exists to help teams make better software decisions without vendor bias. Choosing the right SaaS tool can save thousands of pounds a year and hundreds of hours in productivity — but most comparison sites are funded by the tools they review, which skews the recommendations.

We built StackSwitch to be the comparison resource we wished existed: clear data, honest trade-offs, and no hidden incentives pushing you towards a particular product.

How we compare tools

Every comparison on StackSwitch follows a consistent, repeatable methodology. Here is how we do it:

Data collection: We gather pricing information directly from official product websites and documentation. Feature lists come from vendor docs, changelogs, and help centres. User sentiment is sourced from verified reviews on G2 and Capterra — platforms where reviewers must prove they use the software.

Structured comparison: Each tool is evaluated on the same criteria: starting price, pricing model, free plan availability, core features, G2 score, and Capterra score. This makes apples-to-apples comparison possible across categories.

Context-aware verdicts: Rather than declaring a single "winner", we explain which tool suits which use case. The best CRM for a 5-person startup is rarely the best for a 500-person enterprise.

Editorial independence

  • 1. No sponsored placements. Tool rankings are based on user ratings and feature fit — not payments from vendors.
  • 2. No affiliate links influencing rankings. Where we include affiliate links, they never affect which tool is ranked first or recommended.
  • 3. Transparent data sources. Every data point we cite — pricing, ratings, features — can be verified on the original source.
  • 4. Regular updates. Pricing changes frequently in SaaS. We review and update our data to keep comparisons accurate.
